There is little existing in this desert, nothing but huge, ever shifting dunes. This desert is known by the locals as the Gerr’akatan, or Black Sand. It has gained this name by the black sheen the sand gets when the three moons rise together. The desert has few oasis’ of tree groups and pools of water, but very little. Along the coast there is little habitable land with scrub trees and small towns here and there. The heat is one that could cook the hide from a horse if it found no shelter. At night, the temperatures drop dramatically, plummeting to a very noticeable chill.

The Sharzak empire's capital is located in a large oasis here. A river flows from the ocean, disappearing into the desert, it is here that the mages make their capital home. Walls surround the main portion of the city. Within it thrives with people of all different race and lot in life. The high temple and myserial school floats six hundred feet above the sands, floating upon the mysterial winds. The land is saturated with mysterial here, deep in the sands, rocks, and even the stone walls of the homes. The city is known as Sharaden.
