The day was charmingly beautiful, everything from a story book. Indeed, the birds sang in their trees, and small woodland animals chirped and skittered about the grass and brush. A young theruxeren, white of skin and blond of hair, perched herself upon a large bolder that rested on the edge of a packed earthen road. The wind played at her hair, and the fur that lay exposed over her shoulders from the flowing clothing she wore. A simple earthen green shirt covered her upper body, it's front held together with loose leather string. Her bottoms were also simple cloth of a dusty brown, and accented her body nicely while fluttering in the breeze. Her tail twiched and shifted on the rock around her legs, curling over her toes.
In the light that shone down, she seemed to glow. A sweet tune filled the air, emitting from her lips as she sang, her pointed teeth gleaming in the light as she hummed words of a language she didn't know. Upon her lap sat a book, it's pages held in place by her delicate fingers. She appeared for all the world, like a young maiden resting from a walk to read. But her eyes were not on the pages, but their forest green orbs trained on the road, back and forth they flicked, her pointed ears twitching for any sound of a traveler. The fingers of her other hand rested upon the rock as she leaned back on her arm, the fingers drumming as if impatient.
