Forum Rules: The general forum rules. Sheetless Rules: For members allowed to use sheetless characters. NPC Rules: For those who are asked to play NPCs in threads. Member Levels: Based on post count.
When you are in a role play and wish to address the people/person you are role playing with please use brackets ( IE: {} [] () ) around your out of character (OOC) posts.
We are a mature forum, rated PG-15+. Thus, we allow gore, violence, profanity, torture, and the like. The only thing I will not allow is sex within my forum. Leave it to the imagination. Insinuate, not demonstrate.
Characters are dynamic. If you gain a new weapon or item in an rp, feel free to add it to your character sheet. If you have been infected by a disease within an rp, feel free to add it to your character sheet. (Disease being Drasescourge, vampirism, etc)Character killing is only allowed with consent of the creator of that character. If your character dies, you are not allowed to use it again in that thread. You may use it in a new thread. If another's character enters a situation in which you have no other option but to kill them to stay in character with yours, that is allowed. And once again, that player is not allowed to use that character in that thread, but may start a new one with said character. This is to maintain the real setting.
We are a literate forum, thus if you're here, you should know how to post and to post an acceptable length. So we do not have a posting minimum. I understand that threads slow down, so I am not wicked about this, but if you continue to make extremely short posts (IE: A paragraph of perhaps 4 sentences) then expect me to say something to you about it.
Flaming of any users for any reason is strictly prohibited. If you get into a fight with a moderator or administrator over any reason, depending upon the severity, you will be suspended for up to a month.
(Regarding the Aztersil unique (ish) races) Remember, every race has deviants. That is what makes the world interesting! If you have a deviant that you are not sure will be accepted, or if you would like to ask about making a deviant character (such as a blue haired dresall) then ask one of the administrators! We are friendly and here to help you, we are people too! Don't be afraid to make a deviant, for there are bends in every race. There is no concrete mold to anything.
If you would like to make a mixed race for your character that is between the Aztersil races (for levels that can only create Aztersil races), this is allowed. But please try to stay realistic with it. For example, begris can't be crossed, so I don't want to see some wacky creature such as a begris/dresall.
All content on this site is copyrighted to the original owners. This means the art, the threads, characters, sections, everything. Stealing any information from this site is illegal and will be treated as such.
Do not PM other members with ads to your forum. If you are found doing this, you will be IP banned. It is requested of the members that if you do get a PM from another member that is an ad to another forum, that you report them to an administrator or moderator.
Members are allowed to have links to other RPs in their signatures ONLY if we are affiliated with that RP. Links to RPs that we are not affiliated with will be removed from the member's signature.
Aztersil is a third person posting forum. Please do not use first person IC or in character sheets unless the situation calls for it, or it is a special section where the story or view is from the character's eyes. IE: The character can tell us his story in the History if you so choose, though it is mildly looked down upon unless well done.
As stated on the front page, Aztersil is a literate RP forum. Normally, if a beginner joins our community, we are more than happy to help them blend in. However, if the skill is found lacking to a point where it appears difficult for the member to join in, they will be placed on a one week, or 15 IC post probation. This is simply that we watch the member for one week or 15 IC posts to make sure they will safely improve and become a contributing part of our community.
This is an original site. Yes, you may notice several sections and aspects that are based on things you have seen before in books, movies, and even other role play sites. However, it is made it's own in our world. We expect the same from you. If your character is inspired by a character from media such as a movie, book, game, etc, that is fine, as long as it is made your own. IE: It must be original. Do not make a Drizzt clone and give him a hawk familiar, and argue with us about how he is original. Characters based strongly upon characters from movies, books, games, etc are not allowed here. Show respect to the original aspect of the site by creating something equally as original.
Be sure to READ the information located on the Member Levels page. We reward our activity and participation. When you first join there are several limitations you should be aware of. However, we constantly host contests and offer ways for our members to gain prestige.

The same rules that apply to normal characters apply to the sheetless. The member level privilege of being able to use sheetless characters is just that, a privilege. Whether you are of the level or not, if you are reported using over powered characters more than once, action will be taken. I assume those that have managed to reach the level required to use sheetless characters know what they are doing and understand our rules.
You cannot use sheetless characters that are not of your level. Meaning if your level does not allow for beasts or mystics, do not use them. You cannot, no matter your level, use sheetless characters that are races of your own design.
We ask that if you use the same sheetless character in more than four threads, that you make a sheet for it.

NPCs are Non Player Characters. These are the characters and creatures in your role plays that are bystanders , the great evil, the forest guide, and whatever else helps move your thread plot along. Mostly the members are able to play their own NPCs, but there are a few that would like someone else to play their NPC to add a bit of a twist into the plot. Say you are battling a huge orc army; it wouldn’t be as much fun for you and your partners to play out the army as it would if you had someone else to play the army while they exist.
Members are allowed to request other members to play NPCs for their threads, however there are a few rules. You must be at least a level two to be allowed to play NPCs, meaning level ones are not allowed to do so. You must have an approved character to play NPCs, which I hope is a given. You must have been asked by the owners of the thread for your presence for the duration of the NPC’s existence. NPCs are much like sheetless characters, except they can be large armies or whatnot. You must let an administrator know that you are playing a sheetless. Please let the administration know what the NPC is, the basic purpose of the NPC, and other such information.
